TSUBAME4.0 Test Operaion

(Update on 03-25: TSUBAME4.0 will start its operation from 3 pm on April 1st)

The TSUBAME4.0 supercomputer is scheduled to be operational from April 1st, 2024, but due to operational testing, user migration, and other reasons, TSUBAME4.0 will be in test operation until April 22. During the test operation period, some services will be available free of charge. However, GSIC will, at its own discretion, suspend the use of services for activities that monopolize resources or that GSIC deems to be disruptive to other users.

Please note that some operations differ from the initial test operation period of TSUBAME 3, so please pay attention to the information described above.

Schedule

3:00 pm on April 1st ~ 9:00 am on April 22nd

Maintenance for the Grand Challenge and transition to the official service is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am on April 22nd.

Operation Details

  • Tokyo Tech users (including those with access cards) can create their accounts and groups.
  • The account issuance for other users will be phased in according to the TSUBAME 3.0 experience and programs. The schedule depends on the usage of TSUBAME 4.0.
  • To use the paid services, users need to set up payment codes and purchase TSUBAME points as usual.
  • At the end of the test operation period, TSUBAME points used for node reservation and job execution will be returned.
    • TSUBAME Point used for purchasing storage and applications usage rights will not be returned.
    • The purchase of TSUBAME Point cannot be canceled after the return of TSUBAME Point.
  • The system, individual computation nodes, user portals, etc. may be subject to unannounced maintenance or downsizing.
  • We will not refund points for individual problems during the test operation.
